What are the symptoms of dental problems in pets?

Bad breath, swollen gums, loose teeth, bloody saliva and bumps on their mouth are all warning signs of periodontal disease and other oral health problems. Please call us right away if you notice any of these in your pet.

Is anesthesia necessary for a dental cleaning in pets?

Yes. The process of having instruments and devices inserted in their mouth can be traumatic even for the calmest pets. Putting your pet under anesthesia will make the experience infinitely more pleasant for them. It will also make it easier for us to properly clean, examine and perform any necessary surgery on your pet. Don’t worry, we perform tests on your pet prior to putting them under, to see if they are good candidates for anesthesia.

How often should I brush my dog/cat’s teeth?

The truth is, your pet’s teeth should be brushed at least once a day. Getting into a daily brushing routine is a lot easier than you may think. At a consultation, we can show you some useful tips and products that you can use to get started.
